QINGDAO ALL OVER AGAIN..

We read in a guide book that watching the sun rise on Hualien's beachfront is a must, so at 4am on a Sunday, we pulled ourselves out of bed, hoped and the scooters and made for it.

Of course, a little fuel was required before we really got going. Luckily, Taiwan's breakfast restaurants are open early. My club sandwich, an iced coffee, and and OJ to start the day.

The sun rises super early here, around 5am, does anyone know why? When we got to the beach it was still pitch black. After a while it began to lighten but unfortunately.... there was just a lot of mucky cloud. 

No sunrise, but I do always find it quite invigorating to be up and about early. We went back to the hostel and hopped back into bed afterward!
